With RocketPlan it's easy and quick to get all relevant project pictures uploaded into Xactimate. As you and your crew take photos with RocketPlan they are automatically organized in the correct units, rooms and photo categories. With all your photos organized and categorized it does not matter how large your project is, it's always easy to find the images you are looking for!
After you have signed in to RocketPlan head over to the Projects page by interacting with the menu on the left hand side.
Once you are on the Projects page and have found the project you want to download, click on the icon on the right hand side. Once pressed you will be presented with the option to download all images in full size, compressed or both. Select you preferred size and click Download.
Your project images are now being processed and you will soon receive and email with a zip file containing all your images in the size you selected in the previous step. After you open the email click the the Download button and the zip file will start downloading. Once downloaded, unzip the file and you are good to go!
To make the process of uploading photos to Xactimate as quick and easy as possible we encourage you to use the same naming convention in Xactimate as you did in RocketPlan. As per the screenshot below, with the same naming convention it's easy to find the correct unit, room and photos that you wish to upload.
In your file explorer window, open the project file you have downloaded and click to expand your sub folders. Once in the album for the correct photo category select the images you wish to upload to Xactimate. After you have selected the photos from your file explorer simply drag and drop them over to Xactimate!
While don't yet have a direct integration with Xactimate, by using the steps outlined above it's extremely easy to attach the relevant project photos to your estimate. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about how to manage your project photos with RocketPlan and Xactimate!
